Shattered glass TFA
Chapter 1
Through the looking glass…

Today had not been Sari's day.
Not only had Bumblebee fought once again with Stray, putting both in a mood that meant neither was in the mood to hang out with her, but then Bulkhead had been too busy teaching Arcee about space-bridges, and Ratchet was repairing Optimus from a recent fight.
And her day had gone downhill from there…
One thing had lead to another, and suddenly she was being cornered by a creepy-as-slag, Golem-esque, and obviously insane green bot who referred to himself (in third person, the only way he seemed to be able to talk) as 'Waspinator."
No, definitely not Sari's day.
"Small human come with Waspinator." The 'bot rasped.
"No, 'small human' is not going anywhere with you." Sari spat, trying to seem more confident than she was. Since her upgrade, she'd been more confident about her ability to protect herself. But other than the two Constructicons (who were dumber than a barrel of oil), she hadn't been up against a transformer on her own. Well, not counting the Christmas Soundwave incident when Optimus nearly slagged her. That incident didn't help her confidence much.
Waspinator seemed to pause, considering this. "Spider-Lady say Waspinator bring small human."
"Well, tell Spider-Lady to find someone else." She said, trying to stare down the 'bot. he was an odd one… and looked… more organic. Kinda like… oh, slag… Spider-Lady. Great.
Wasp seemed to hiss. Me no tell Spider-Lady, you come with Wasp!" The 'bot paused, his purple eyes widening. "Er… Waspinator!" The green 'bot scooped up Sari in one servo, starting to run off.
Sari beat at his servo with one arm, the other reaching up to her comm. link. She was afraid of making a direct and obvious distress call, fearing Waspinator would try to hurt her, or that her friends would loose the element of surprise. She just hoped they were there to listen…
She heard the comm. link pick up. "Sari?" she heard in one ear. She hoped Waspinator couldn't hear, and turned up the volume of the receiver.
"Let me go! Where are you taking me you big tub of bolts?" She shouted up at her captor. She heard Optimus wince on the other end from her shout, amplified from her adjustment.
"Small human not very smart. Waspinator already say we go to Spider-Lady." The green mech scowled, and suddenly he wasn't running, but flying, down towards the pier.
"And where is Spider-Lady?" she called. "Not on Dinobot Island?"
"Small human talk too much!" the bot was now zipping over the lake.
"Dinobot Island! That's where you're taking me!" she felt stupid, but remembered how Optimus had used the same tactic to trick her into meeting her dad. If it would work on her, it would work on her captor.
"Shut up already!" Wasp squeezed, causing Sari to yelp, finding it harder to fill her lungs. She gasped, shoving at his hand to try to give herself more space to breathe.
Optimus apparently heard her struggle. "Sari? Sari!"
"I'm good…" She breathed. "Hurry?" she clicked off her comm. link, not waiting for a reply.
The shore appeared beneath them. Waspinator flew a bit into the woods before landing. The hand holding Sari was uncomfortably warm, and heat seemed to radiate off of him. Sari sweated in his hand, flipping off her helmet to try to cool down. Wasp walked the rest of the way, a long, hot, sweaty trek through the thick trees, down to the crater that had once been the D-con base. Kind of fitting, actually… the Decepticons move out and the freak show moves in.

Optimus was transforming as soon as the techno-organic's last words transmitted. Ratchet huffed, but let him go, knowing he wouldn't be able to keep Optimus from this. Optimus knew he only had time to bring one other… any more and the mission would get messy. Bumblebee's room was on his way out of the base… he clicked to Bee's radio frequency.
"Bumblebee! Transform and come with me. Waspinator has Sari!" He radioed as he passed, and Bumblebee shot out right behind him, even zipping ahead of his leader. "Wait for me at the pier, Bumblebee!" He called, flooring it. He was no match for the young 'bot's speed, but the yellow speedster needed Prime and his Jet-pack to get across the lake in time.

"You have one?" Black Arachnia asked, hearing her past experiment trod in.
"Waspinator bring small human!" he chirped, a note of pride and longing in his voice filter. BA turned around, blinking at his selection, then laughing.
"Good choice." She grinned, one hand going to her mouth. She'd asked Waspinator to bring back the first adolescent human he could find. She hadn't expected him to bring back the girl… she seemed grown up now. BA's eyes moved to the chamber she had prepared, the mirror within reflecting the newcomers. They looked warped, however… and the girl was sitting on the mech's shoulder. How odd…
"Waspie, put our guest in the chamber." Arachnia purred. Waspinator's faceplate reddened, and he did as he was told. Sari struggled, beating at Waspinator's hand. The spider-femme watched the reflection. For some reason, the girl wasn't reflected in the chamber, though she was currently pounding at the glass. This wiped the smile from her face… if this event didn't match up exactly…
There was a screech from Waspinator. BA turned to see Bumblebee race in, hitting Waspinator with his stingers. Optimus ran in behind him, running past the momentarily downed Waspinator. He whipped out his axe, looking around for Sari. BA didn't give him the chance. With a high-aimed kick she knocked him off his servos.
"Optimus!" Sari screamed, looking for a way out of the cylinder. She turned, seeing a mirror propped up against the back of the glass. It was full length, unframed. She could see Optimus and Black Arachnia fighting. It was weird though, their colors were off. And there was Bumblebee! His colors were reversed, yellow where black would be and visa-versa. And Waspinator… wasn't Waspinator? He looked shorter, and less buggy. Her eyes rested on her own reflection. She looked the same. Odd. Her eyes looked past her reflected self, and she gasped, ducking at the image of Prime's axe coming straight at her. There was an explosion and the sound of shattering glass, and she was thrown forward, against the mirror…
Through the mirror…
